Heading Structure Best Practices
- Use only one H1 - Each page should have exactly one H1 that describes the main topic.
- Follow logical hierarchy - Don't skip levels (H1 → H3 is wrong; use H1 → H2 → H3).
- Include keywords in headings - Use relevant keywords naturally in H1 and H2 tags.
- Make headings descriptive - Headings should give readers a clear idea of section content.
- Keep headings concise - Aim for 60 characters or less per heading.
Why Headings Matter
Proper heading structure helps search engines understand content hierarchy and improves accessibility for screen readers.
